Struggling to Stay Consistent with My Wellness Routine โ€“ Any Tips?

  • I’ve been working on improving my health over the past few months, but I’ve been having a really hard time staying consistent. Some weeks I’m all in meal prepping, exercising, and even meditating but then life gets busy, and it all falls apart. It’s super frustrating because I know how good I feel when I stick to my routine, but I just can’t seem to make it last.

I’m curious: how do you all stay consistent, especially during busy or stressful times? Do you use any specific tools, routines, or techniques to keep yourself on track?

For example, I’ve tried setting reminders on my phone, but I still find myself skipping workouts or opting for takeout when I’m tired. I’m wondering if maybe I need to approach this differently or focus on smaller, more manageable changes.

Would love to hear any advice or tips you’ve found helpful in your own wellness journey. Thanks in advance for your input! ๐Ÿ˜Š

  • Hey Amanda,

I totally get where you’re coming from—staying consistent can be so tough, especially when life gets hectic. Something that’s worked for me is focusing on creating smaller, non-negotiable habits rather than trying to tackle everything at once. For example, instead of committing to an hour-long workout every day, I aim for just 10-15 minutes of movement, even if it’s just stretching or a quick walk. It’s more manageable, and once I start, I often end up doing more than I planned.

Another thing that’s been a game-changer for me is prepping just enough. I don’t go full meal-prep mode, but I make sure to have a couple of healthy staples ready—like grilled chicken, roasted veggies, or boiled eggs. That way, even on busy days, I can throw something together quickly instead of reaching for takeout.

Finally, I try to remind myself that it’s okay to slip up. Progress isn’t about being perfect—it’s about staying in the game. When I have an off day, I just pick it back up the next day without guilt.

You’re already doing great just by being aware and wanting to improve. Keep at it, and I’m sure you’ll find what works best for you!
